Viking VSC0708 8 Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot

Great cookware
We have used Viking cookware for the past seven years. It is great cookware. We do a lot of cooking and it performs flawlessly every time. It is a breeze to clean. Very well made and ages nicely. I am on-line looking to see what could be my next purchase. I have not tried the non-stick pans yet.
Something about this pot
I bought this pot and pasta insert as a gift for my son years ago, and finally got one for myself. Viking stuff is expensive but very nice. Over the life of the pot, you probably save enough in gas and/or electric current to pay for it. The five ply construction conducts heat very evenly & efficiently. I got some CIA stuff, but it cannot compare to Viking quality.

Boiling pot stickers, and pasta are my favorite uses.

Viking Professional 2 Slot Toaster, Red

Love It!
The toaster somehow toasts the bread the perfect amount without overcooking and keeps it warm until pulling it out. Looks great, cool on outside; is really awesome.
viking 2 slice toaster
I have owned my 2 slice Viking toaster for well over 2 year's and find it to be the best toaster in the world. I was looking for another one for a second home. You can no longer find a white one, but black and red are still available at a great price. I just went to the Viking web site and am saddened that they are discontinuing toasters. I am writing this review as I see a couple people gave it bad reviews. I am sure there are some lemons. This happens with any and everything, but this is a great toaster and works amazing. I love the pull out tray on the front of the toaster. Easy to throw out the crumbs that collect. They are excellent and made in the USA.
FINALLY a good toaster
You would think that a toaster isn't that difficult to make well but apparently it is. I have tried many toasters and most won't toast sourdough bread to a golden brown, you have to put it down at least twice. The alternative is that one edge is burned and the other is tartar.

This toaster has slots wide enough to take a sliced bagel AND it toasts things to brown. You have to turn it up to almost max for moister breads but it gets the job done better than anything else I have tried. The heating elements extend to the edges so toast is very even all the way to the edge. The construction is solid and the looks are great. The exterior doesn't get too hot either so no fear of burning yourself. If there is any complaint it is that, at times, the bread toasts slower than you may want but I would rather have great toast than burned bread in 1/2 the time.

The price is moderately high but make the purchase, you won't be disappointed.

Viking Professional 4 Slot Toaster, Black

What's in a Brand Name?
I've owned my Viking four-slot toaster for a year now and, while I agree with other reviews that it looks mighty pretty, I do have some criticisms. First of all, the heating elements don't seem to toast bread as brown as some other, much cheaper, toasters. With some bread, just to get a normal browning, I have to turn the toaster selection knob to its highest toasting heat (6) and, even then, push it down again to achieve the brownness I like. (This can take upwards of 3-4 minutes!)

And, likewise with another reviewer, it's difficult to get an even browning, due to the large slot size. I realize that the slots are large to accommodate thicker bread and bagels, but, unlike with other toasters, there's no built-in mechanism to ensure that the bread sits evenly in the slots.

All in all, I've been disappointed with this toaster, and wouldn't purchase another one.
Viking Discovery
I've owned this toaster for over a year now and I LOVE this toaster! Kind of surprised at some of the "less-than-stellar" reviews here. Yes, this thing is built like a tank. This is a good thing, the unit is very stable, stays put on the counter. It's easy to clean and has a substantial crumb tray, very easy to remove, well thought out design. Very well built, clean lines, no sharp edges with high quality control knobs and materials used in construction. My toaster gets daily use and regular cleaning and it still looks great. Expensive? You bet! For those who say; "A toaster is a toaster and they can get comparable quality toast from a far less expensive unit, I say; a Kia Sorrento will get you to work in the same amount of time as a Bentley Continental but long term, you'll probably enjoy the Bentley experience a lot more." That's probably not the best comparison but what I'm trying to say is, I think it's ok, even a good idea generally, to pay more for quality of build, fit and...
Buyer Beware
I thought Viking products were supposed to be top of the line, quality appliances....well, looks like this one missed the QC testing area..I'm on my third unit now, which is also having the SAME problem...the cheap lever mechanism used to pop the toast up or down is so poorly made that it breaks inside the unit, causing it to stick in the up position. It's not like I forced a loaf of Italian bread into it, just regular thin sliced sandwich bread. Aside from that, the temp dials are extremely inconsistent. This is frustrating when one day you're able to make perfect toast, and the next day using the same temp position number comes out looking like charcoal. Viking needs to have these built in a different Chinese factory, the one they're currently using is pulling some crap on them.

Viking VSC0215 1-1/2 Quart Stainless Steel Sauce Pan

comfortable handles and great performance
I have been a very devoted fan of viking stainless steel pans for the last 7 years. They distribute heat evenly, clean up beautifully, go from stove to oven without a hitch and can go in the dishwasher in a pinch (though I usually wash by hand). I think that a big difference between viking and all-clad pans is the comfort of handles. The rounded edges of the Viking are incredibly comfortable and resist heat well. The all-clad very much hurt my hands given the weight of the pot and the folding of the handle to the lower aspect of the handle.
Viking Pots Rule!
They hold heat so well, cook with less water, less time and clean so easily. Even if you mess up and burn them, everything comes right out. I love all my Viking pots + pans. Every single one of them.
great pan - hard to season
These Viking stainless pans are wonderful in some ways. They have flat bottoms which are essential on a flat ceramic cook top. You really do cook in less time, using less water and heat. However, they are very hard to season and I had to try two different methods. Adding more oil than normal at the beginning of cooking, heating that and then adding the food works very well.

I have not tried the really expensive "waterless" 5 or 7 layer stainless pans, but for the price I think these Viking pans are excellent if you are willing to take the extra time to initially season them, plus the extra time it takes each time you wash and dry them to keep them looking nice and shiny.

If you have been using non stick cookware for several years as I did be prepared to learn how to cook all over again. Once you do, you will be very pleased with the pans and know that you are no longer eating chemical coating with your food.

Viking VNSC0513 13 Inch Stainless Steel Non-Stick Fry Pan

Best skillet I've ever owned
this is the best skillet I have ever owned. I've been using this skillet for about a month now and find it to be the best. The height and angle of the handle is great. The handle never gets hot. The pan itself is nonstick and supposedly dishwasher safe (I still haven't put it in the dishwasher, I always hand wash it). The only issue might be that it's too heavy to lift with one hand for some people.
Great at first
I was in love with this pan when I first got it for all he reasons the others mention. Great weight and angle on the handle, cooks evenly and truly non stick. However, I question how long the reviewers have had their pans before rating it. I've had mine a little under two years, and it's barely any more non stick than my plain stainless steel pan. I've never used metal utensils on it and there are no visible scratches or flaking, it just doesn't work as well. I've put it in the dishwasher but it says it's dishwasher safe, and I have burned a few things on it at times, but don't feel it should damage the pan to this degree.

I still liking Viking for stainless steel and other cookware which will last a lifetime, but it's just not worth shelling out $200 every two years for a non stick.
Awesome!
My wife and I love this skillet. it cooks evenly. Possibly the Best Skillet Ever! I wish I had two ;)Now only if I had a bigger kitchen haha.

Viking 7-Ply Stainless 3-1/2-Quart Reduction Saucepan

Treasure!
I use this pan to make hair removal sugaring paste. It is elegant to work with and it's structure allows me to super fine tune my process. The shape is pleasing to my eye and reminds me of a bad@$$ weapon for a video game... So it makes 30 min at the stove constantly stirring a super pleasant and treasured time for me. Worth the price if into quality over quantity.
Great saucier - a little large
The company sent it right away and it was in good condition. This saucier seems to heat more evenly than the all-clad saucier and the handle is much more sturdy. My wife, who is a bit short, has difficulty with the height of the handle, but she also had some difficulty with the all-clad handle. The pan is one that we use often and really enjoy. I might have purchased the 2 quart instead, but I was thinking that I could do more with the bigger size. This is true, but it is a bit large for my daily oatmeal - although I still enjoy use it for that.

Viking 16x13x3 Inch Stainless Steel Roasting Pan with Nonstick Rack

A great roasting pan
It is not easy to find a great stainless steel roasting pan that is induction compatible. One needs a pan that can be used on the stove top to deglaze it or make gravy on an induction range. All stainless steel roasters are not induction compatible. They must react to a simple magnet or they will not function on the induction range. It will work fine in the oven, but not on top of the range. Here is the perfect roasting pan which will function in both places. Although the rest of our pots and pans are All-Clad copper core, their roasting pan is not induction compatible so this pan is a great alternative. Although it is not made in America, but Indonesia, it is sturdy, three ply construction with riveted handles and comes with a non-stick rack. Its sturdy construction looks like it will maintain a flat bottom which is essential for induction ranges. It is larger in overall size than my old Ltd anodized aluminum and non-stick roasting pan which will now be passed on to the next...
Great Purchase
I bought this particular pan because I needed one that I could heat on my induction cook-top and this really fit the bill. Nice construction and performance.

My only slight quibble are the handles, which I feel could be a bit wider.
Product was not the same as shown and described
The product was shown and described as the Viking Professional Roasting Pan with Stainless Steel Rack by Metro Kitchen. They sent me a pan with a non-stick rack. I did not even open the box as I use NOTHING with non-stick ever ! That is why I ordered one with a stainless steel rack ! The Metro Kitchen just shrugged it's shoulders and told me Viking no longer makes it with a stainless steel rack and that I could send it back. It cost me $25.00 to send it back which is wrong, wrong, wrong ! I never would have ordered a non stick item, ever ! I had to pay the price for THEIR mistake. It makes me furious. I will NEVER order from Metro Kitchen again !

Viking VSC0513 13 Inch Stainless Steel Fry Pan

Great Fry Pan
I received this as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it. It has a large cooking area.

The skillet is 11 x 2 inches and has 7 layers of aluminum alloys.

Everything browns and cooks evenly. There are no hot spots. Foods can be sauted in the skillet and then finished in the oven or broiler up to 600 degrees F.

Unlike most other skillets, this pan has a wide bottom area. The skillet is 11 inches, the bottom which actually comes in contact with the heat is about 10 1/2 inches. I compared this skillet to others and, although they are 11 or 12 inches across, only 9 inches actually comes in contact with the heat source because they have slopping sides. The sides of the Viking skillet are almost straight.

Like all Viking, this skillet needs to be cleaned with Bar Keeper's Friend and then rinsed with soap and water to maintain it's brand new look.

It is advisable to first season Viking cookware by first washing it and then placing...
nice, above average construction and feel
I've snagged this Used-Like New for $80, and I'm happy with the choice. I wanted a stainless steel pan for searing, and came across this deal and jumped on it. This is my first stainless pan, so I can't compare it with others. the aluminum layering makes it lighter than I expected, but it weights a hefty 4+ pounds. The handle comes high, is made of polished steel and stays cool even on high temp cooking. The pan cooking area feels light for its size and thickness, due to the aluminum, like I mentioned. It gets searingly hot quick, and I was impressed with the sizzle it makes. It's stupid maybe, but the sizzle is sharp, uniform under the whole beef, with many sharp, distinct pops ( I was aware of it immediately, that's why I mention it) It sticks less than some low end nonstick coated pans and cleans up easily. The rough part of the dish sponge seems to leave fine scratch marks easily at cleaning, but that might be the norm with all steel.
Best cookware ever!
My wife loves it, and I love what she does with it. She says: "cooks evenly, cleans easily, my go-to pan".
