The Best (in this price range)
<Update - 1 year later and about 50 very thick smoothies and 50 pancake batches later and it is still working as well as it did on day one. I discovered by accident that the inner blade attachment pops out rather easily for cleaning, just give is a slight squeeze where the 2 lips that hold it in place are. I generally take it apart and put everything in the dishwasher when finished. Sometimes my smoothies get a bit too thick and I have to give the motor a rest because it starts to smell a bit like it is being over worked, but that is my fault, not its fault. Other blenders probably would have just turned off long before then and I would be forced to make much thinner smoothies. I'd rather decide for myself when it is being overworked rather than have it turn off automatically at 80% of the maximum force.>
I am replacing a Cuisinart CB600SA that we picked up at Costco about 10 years ago, I think, which I recently broke by dropping it.
This 1,000 watt Krups...
Krups KB790
Blender arrived and works excellent. Blender looks even nicer in person. I will buy from this vendor again. Has a nice feature where it starts slow and speeds up over a few seconds so that it does not splash. Automatically shuts itself off if it jams so it does not burn itself out. Professional appearance and good quality thick glass, very generous volume capacity.
Best Die Cast Blender, You Should Get This Blender
My old Cuisinart CBT-1000 PowerEdge 1000-Watt Die-Cast Blender with 64-Ounce Jar died so needed a replacement. I was looking for a Die Cast Blender that can make smoothie for me and my husband every day. My husband loves super cold smoothie so we put ice in it. This Krups KB790 Blender has a better look, and it's very quiet. I am so glad I get Krups blender this time. It's highly recommended.
