Paula Deen Stainless Steel 12 Piece Cookware Set

BEAUTIFUL looking, fast and even heating without any warping!
I bought a 13 piece set in charcoal at Sam's club back in January of 2009 for $75 (last one left so it was discounted) can't go wrong with that. So far the set has held up nicely even after going through the dishwasher a few times through no fault of my own. I read that some people put their RED pots through the dishwasher and that they lost their shine. That did not not occurred with my set at all! The instructions say to hand cleaned only which is what you should do to all non-stick pots and pans. Putting non-stick pots and pans in the dishwasher will cause the teflon to break down over time. Here is a list of some other pots/pans that are NOT for the dishwasher because it will cause discoloraton: Hard-Anodized Aluminum, Porcelain Enamel-exterior, Copper bottom, Plain Aluminum.

These pots are suitable for solid plate, glass/ceramic, radiant ring, halogen and gas stoves. The thing I did learn was not to put a hot pan/pot on a cold glass burner. I have been doing it for...
First new set in 13 years
I bought this set to replace our 13 year old set and have no issues with them so far. Maybe it was my old set but water seems to boil alot quicker with these which is always a help. The main feature that drew us to this set is rubber handles. Alot of the newer stuff has metal handles or mostly metal with a little rubber. We wanted something that we do not need to use a pot holder to move the pots without burning ourselves.

Be sure to read the care instructions; can't not be placed in dishwasher, do not use cooking spray, do not use metal utensils etc...) Not an issue for us but some may be put off by this.
Rubber Coating on Handles Flakes Off
I bought the set about four months ago and after infrequent use on two of the saucepans, maybe once or twice a week, the red rubber coating started to bubble up and flake off, like old paint. I usually handwash, but now the handles have spots where you can see the black plastic underneath. Th pans are still usuable, but looks terrible and that is the reason I bought the cookware, because I loved the way it looked. Calling the Customer Relations number for the supposed lifetime warranty service only gets you to a recording with an address to ship the cookware back for their INSPECTION. If they deem you did nothing wrong, they may send you a replacement. The postage for the pans would be about half of what it would cost to buy a new ones. But, I don't plan on buying any more Paula Deen products.

Paula Deen Traditional Stainless Steel 10-Piece Set

Awesome Product
If you've seen my Rachael Ray knives, you'll know I'm know culinary master. I have no idea what is good or bad in pots, pans, knives, or stoves. I just know that if my wife makes awesome s*** with them, they're good. These pans are f---in' awesome according to my wife. She's been cooking with them for about two years and she loves them. She still uses them for almost every meal and has thrown away out old nasty s*** bag pans. Great stuff.
Great set
We have been really happy with this cooking set. We've been using it for about a year and it is holding up nicely. Sturdy handles and tops. The non-stick coating has scratched a little from utensils, but is not flaking off.
Great buy for the price!
I've had these for over two years now. They work great and they stand up to the scub test. They heat up quickly and cook evenly. My only issue is that the pot covers get very hot and I have to use a pot holder or mit to remove them. These are not too bad at all for the price.

Paula Deen Traditional Porcelain 10-Piece Cookware Set, Purple

great product
i wanted paula deen cookware because my neighbor has owned a set for two years and she swears by it! her pots and pans are still incredibly non-stick and they really do look brand new. so I found this GREAT deal on amazon for the purple set and decided to splurge even though my cookware was fine. I am sooooo glad i did! this is way better than my old cookware. the deep purple color is very pretty in my kitchen. I love the rubberized grips on the handles and the lids, they are very comfy! the lids all fit on great. the non stick surface is really worth the price! and my favorite part about them is how light they are! I love not having to strain to get the big pot out of the cabnet. they are very durable too, don't think that because they are lightweight that they are weak.. cuz they are not! I would recomend any paula deen cookware.
peeling teflon interior
I am very disappointed with the teflon interior coating, it is peeling. I received this set for Christmas and I have only used the Rosti basic kitchen tools that came with them, so I don't like that the interior is already peeling. They have all been hand washed, never in the dishwasher. I am very disappointed.
Wonderful!
I have been looking for purple pots to match my interior kitchen colors for quite some time. These are perfect! The only thing I would recommend is NOT to put in dishwasher if you would like to keep them looking new and glossy. (one pot went through and not as glossy now). They are wonderful to cook with.
