Fissler Original Pro Collection 3 Quart High Saucepan

Versatile, durable pan
I have elsewhere reviewed the Fissler Original Pro Collection 2.8 Quart Casserole (see here for details). My next acquisition after that casserole was this saucepan, although strictly speaking I am using the 2.5 litre (18cm) version available in the UK, Europe and Japan. After using it for five years now, it seems to me that it has all the virtues of the casserole of the same series. This saucepan is extremely well built. When I am on the road I have a habit of dropping in at local kitchen shops to look at their offerings and having travelled widely around Europe, the US and Japan I've seen a lot of cookware. I have never encountered anything, anywhere that feels quite as durable as Fissler products in the Pro Collection range. That's not based on any objective measurements, by the way, it's a purely qualitative judgement gained from handling many items of cookware. But still.

So, on to specifics. The...
Second size purchased of this line-Nice!
No problems with delivery. No problems with product.

I have two sizes of this pan, and the review of this one is the same as for the 1.5 quart.

The saucepan is well made, attractive, easy to care for, and has a nice weight. It's unobtrusive lines look good hanging from a hook in the kitchen. The lids are easy to store because they are not bulky. The pot is a good size for a variety of needs. So far, I'm very happy with this saucepan.

Update: After using this saucepan several times a week for more than a year, it is still in great condition so I am changing my rating to five stars. This little pan has earned it!
Why don't they have 10 stars?
If you're looking for quality cookware that can be passed on to your children this is it. I have this plus the 10 pc set and use them daily. Will never need to purchase another cookware set, and these pots are put thru their paces with 23k BTU burners. Sometimes it pays to have the right "tools" for the job! They are heavy duty and remarkably well made. You won't regret this purchase.
