not stamped stainless - aluminum bottoms
This cookware is very attractive with the bell shaped pots. I purchased it because the glass lids have a vent, which many similar sets do not. My criticism of this set is that it is not stamped "stainless steel." Although in large writing it was advertised as stainless, in the small print written on the side of the box - one of the last comments - it mentions that the bottom of the pots are made of encapsulated aluminum. I returned this set because I was specifically seeking to avoid aluminum. The aluminum is not mentioned in the written brochure that came with the set. So while the product looks very good, it's a bit deceptive.
