Decent Pans that are Light and Heat Quickly
This is a good pan set for the price. The pots have stainless steel interiors. The fry pans are non-stick. Overall I think they are thin. But that makes them light and easy to handle. Also if you put in large amounts of cold ingredients, the pan cools significantly (compared to my other set of Circulon cookware). The thinness may have also been the reason why two of the pots I got in my set were a little dented at the lip. It was very slight and didn't effect how the glass lids fit. The glass lids are pretty standard. They are universal/transferable to my other pots/pans not from this set. I also like that the pots are stainless inside with no finish. I can scrub it as vigorously as I like and not have to worry about destroying the pots. This set will definitely work for now. They're nothing fancy and great for daily use and abuse. I'm kind of glad of the price point because that means I don't have to baby them too much. But I still dream of buying and collecting fancier cookware in...
Looks good, Great for those of us stuck with electric heat
I am very pleased with this cookware set. The pots have a quality feel to them, with the weight being not so light that would indicate a cheap thin gauge metal, yet not so heavy that it breaks my wrist to handle them when filled with food. The base is aluminum encased in stainless steel, and they heat evenly and are plenty thick, which is great because it will prevent the frying pans from warping, as the thinner pans are prone to do. The size of the bottoms fits 6" and 8" electric burners perfectly. (I do miss gas very much)

I like the back enamel exterior - it is actually a very practical color, and I'm hoping it will not show the slight discoloration near the base that usually builds up over time. The handles are quite comfortable to hold and hopefully will be as durable as the cookware. The glass lids seem very thick and sturdy, being encased in a thick metal rim, and the riveted handles have a quality feel to them as well. One thing I wish they had is a slight relief...
Decent cookware at a decent price.
Seems like Cooking celebrities have paired up with various manufacturers to brand their products. Without RR's name on this set, maybe it would be 1/2-2/3 the price? But despite this, this a decent set that will get the stovetop job done well enough. Best part about it is that these should work with induction stovetops for those that have 'em. The silicone handles are great and the glass lids are nice to be able to see how things are progressing. These are not difficult to clean, but I admit I routinely put smaller pots and pans in the dishwasher. So time will tell how long the finish lasts.

My absolute favorite cookware set is Farberware stainless steel set <$70. I love this extreme value set because they're REALLY light and very easy to clean. My FW pots (not the frying pans) still look brand new after years of use and cleaning. My least favorite is, ironically, my expensive Cephalon set, which is very heavy and kinda of a pain to clean. A great assortment of pots and pans that you will use often

Wish a few things were different
Upon initial inspection, all of the pots, pans, and lids/ covers were all neatly packed in cardboard and heavy plastic bags with the product's information and care instructions within one of the pots. All seemed to be well made and attractive looking with contrasting orange, rubber handles. I was glad to see that the handles were bolted on, as my old pots and pans have handles held onto the cookware with screws, which occasionally need to be tightened, an annoyance. This set lacked a large 12 or 14 inch skillet similar to the small 8 inch and medium 10 inch ones. The large 4.5 quart sauté pan was deep and wouldn't be ideal, for say, pancakes. The 8 and 10 inch skillets are too small for cooking a meal for my family. The second to largest pot appeared to have two minor imperfections in the non-stick surface finish inside, and at the bottom of the pot. I attempted to scratch whatever this was off with a wooden spoon first, and then with my fingernail, and finally with...

This was the first Rachael Ray cookware set and products we purchased and the quality as well as our experience and satisfaction with the pots and pans in this set has led to us purchasing many more RR cookware products and we're extremely happy with ALL the Rachael Ray cookware items we own and use - they're just excellent all-around in terms of quality and performance and we plan to continue to purchase and use the RR line of cookware products for years to come!

Rachael Ray Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set, Orange

Love the set, EXCEPT for th LEAKS.
I got this set for Christmas and was so excited. I did all my research and knew what I was getting into with Stainless Steel. I don't have any problems with clean up with this set, just soak it a little or wash immediately after cooking and no problems. It still looks beautiful today. However, like the others my small pot leaks at the rivets in the handles. Now unlike the others my set came with no "instructions" or information about the manufacturer. So I had to research with Amazon's help how to send it back for warranty coverage. Meyer Corporation is the name of the company who holds the warranty. Now I sent this back at /the end of Feb. and they were recieved on 2/24/09 and I have not heard from the company yet. I submitted a help ticket about this on Monday of this week, I was told within two days I would have a response. Today is Thursday and no response. I wish there was a way for Rachel to know what kind of Customer Service her fans were recieving for her...
So far, So good!
Nice set for the price. I'm switching over from "non-stick" so I was a little hesitant about sticking & clean-up. But, it hasn't been bad at all. I did have to look up how to get the white spots out of the skillet (water & vinegar). I just wish there were larger pieces that matched this set!
"Steal This Cookware"
I'm an experienced cook, and I'm also something of a foodie (try my green peppercorn duck - it holds up nicely against any high-end restaurant's version). And I know a good deal when I see one. But let's be frank: Not everything is always as it seems, right? Well, in this case, WRONG! The Rachael Ray 10-piece stainless steel cookware deal is *exactly* what it seems - and then some.

In my 45-plus years of cooking and entertaining, I've deliberately stayed away from cookware "sets." Every pot and pan I've purchased has had a purpose, and I've bought each piece in only the size and materials that work for me.

However, I've now moved into a smallish apartment and I'm downsizing. With comparatively limited kitchen storage space, I wanted a set of cookware that would perform across all - or at least most - of my cooking needs: Not too many pans, not too few. I also knew it had to be stainless steel, it had to have aluminum cores (or at least bases), and I was hoping...

Very Pleased
I bought these five months ago. I spent hours and hours online shopping for a new set of pots and pans, reading hundreds of reviews, researching the benefits of hard adonizing over stainless steel and other aluminum products, and this was the set I finally chose. I couldn't be happier! I looked at everything out there; from the cheapest to the most expensive professional cookware there is. I compared Pampered Chef, Paula Deen, Emeril, Cuisinart, Kitchenaid, Le Creuset.....and more. I checked them all out!

My Criteria. Versatility - I'm single so for the most part I use the smaller pans in the set. Because of that it was important to me to find a set that had lids that fit the smaller skillets. Most sets out there have lids for the pots, but nothing for the skillets. But I also wanted larger pans for when I do entertain.

Durability - I've spent way too much money in the past on pans that bend if you drop them, can't stand up to high heat, or end up with...
New home New pots
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pot set. I had just recently relocated from up north to down south and was in the market for a new pot set for my new home. I did alot of research and looking at reviews on many many websites. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing since my new home has a glass cooktop stove and many reviewers expressed concern about its use with a glass cooktop. Well i decided to give it a try and they are great. They clean up easily and cook well and evenly. When storing I place a paper towel in between all the pots so that they won't scratch each other. I even use them with high temperature and no problems with the pots or my cooktop. I cook at least twice a day so the pots get quite a lot of use and they still look brand new after four months of heavy use and constant washing. Great buy!!!!
Best cookware ever
I have not purchased (for myself) cookware in 15 years and bought this set a year ago for my daughter and have been helping her out with her twin girls and using the cookware. I liked it so much that I purchased the 14 pc. set for myself. The best investment I have made in a long time.

Rachel never lets you down.
I was hoping these would be nice and they are wonderful. Well worth your money. Enjoy cooking and bring some sunshine into your life while you are at it.
Beautiful to Display and Use
Having this beautiful and durable gradient yellow cookware makes cooking even more fun. The non-stick properties are great so far, and I only hand-wash my cookware, so they are as beautiful now as when they were new several months ago. I don't use high heat because I read warnings about it, and unfortunately, they also warn not to use cooking sprays so I don't. So far I have had no problems with food sticking, but I do cook with butter. The thickness and heft of the products are good, they feel substantial, but not heavy. The lids are also very nice. The only thing I would change would be to make the handle holes thinner for hanging. They seem bulkier than necessary, but maybe it's to err on the side of safety.
Love it!
Very affordable, cooks well, doesn't stick, cleans easy, and is super appealing to the eye. What more could ya ask?

Excellent Cookware
I bought the set about 4 months ago and absolutly love it. It is sooo easy to clean, and I don't normally like to handwash, and it cooks great. The orange handles are great especially if you have kids that like to help you cook. I have since bought the 8 qt. pasta to add to my original set. Can't say enough good things about this cookware.
Amazing cookware
I received this cookware December 06 and have been cooking with it everyday since then. It is truly an amazing cookware set. It goes from stove top to oven with no problem. It looks nice hanging on my pot rack in my kitchen even after all of the use it gets from me and my family. The pots cook evenly and the food does not stick making clean up spectacularly fast and easy. I was lucky enough to receive and add to my collection this past Christmas the larger, deep oval skillet for large family dinners. I highly recommend this set for anyone from beginning cooks to very experienced ones.
best set ever
This is the best pots and pans set I ever had. They are super easy to clean up..nothing sticks to them! Everything cooks evenly and nice. I am very happy and also bought the other matching pieces to this set.

Good Value for the Money
They cook evenly. Pretty sturdily made with with rivets and they are lightweight without being flimsy. Easy to clean. Bottom of pans did not distort when heated. The padded handles for the lids and the pots are a sort of rubber or silicone which make for easy gripping and are cool to the touch (especially for the lids unlike metal handles). The colors are fun. The color is a an orange gradient that mutes the brightness of the orange color.

Why not a five star rating? I would like to see the layer of non-stick material to be thicker for more durability, but note that the pots and pans do come with a lifetime guarantee.

Good value for the money.

Also, note that these pots are not recommended for glass top stoves (per manual) as the ceramic bottom of the cookware could melt to the glass top.
Love them!
I have had this set for almost a year. We use them every day. They look beautiful hanging in my kitchen and they just make cooking a little more fun. They have held up perfectly. I have a glass top stove so I was a little concerned when I read in the manual that they arent ideal for that type of stove, but I have never had an issue.

They are light in weight, but not in durability. They clean up easily and beautifully. I have used an SOS pad on the outside and it doesnt scratch. I have also found them in the dishwasher when my children have to clean the kitchen and they have remained scratch free. They actually look almost as good as the day I bought them! I am now ordering sets for my friends for Christmas!
Good selection, attractive set, but a bit expensive and lightweight
An attractive cookware set that covers the basics. The well-made pans offer a good cooking foundation, but are a little too lightweight.

I've been cooking elaborately for years and have used a wide variety of kitchen gear. Like most seasoned cooks, I have my favorite pans and pan-types, and habits in how I use them. I was pleased to see several of my "usual" sizes included in this set, including the 3qt saute pan, the 6qt dutch-oven style stockpot, and the 10" skillet. The 2qt saucepan is adequate, though I usually prefer a 2.5qt. The sides of the saute pan are high enough to stir a thick pasta sauce, the stockpot has a wide enough base to allow meat to brown.

The one omission is a heavy-bottomed 12" skillet, something I use regularly for frying and searing.

Less useful is the 1qt saucepan-- there's not much I'd make in a 1qt that wouldn't be fine in the 2qt, and the 8.5" skillet is too small to be useful-- it's fine if you want to fry an egg, or...

Very pretty to look at. A few flaws
The Rachael Ray Stainless cookware set is very pretty to look at and has performed quite well to date.

Pros:
Easy to clean (to date). I wish I could review this after 2 years instead of a month and a half. So far though, so good.
Attractive. Pots seem to hold the shine nicely. Orange color is nice.
Orange handle covers appear to hold up very well.

Cons:
The stock pot handles are pretty tight in to the body of the pot. You have to use pot holders when boiling water as it's too easy to burn your fingers.
The other bummer is that the handles are only oven-rated up to 350 degrees. So if you want to make a fritata in the oven, don't use these pans.

The Calphalon pots that we've used for the last 5 years are breaking down. Even though they're the regular pans (not non-stick), the coatings are wearing. It will be interesting to see how these do in 5 years. I wish I could give more help than what I've listed above...
Not Good For Induction Stove Top
We just got an induction stove top and since we needed stainless steel cookwear we tohught this would be a great fit, WRONG! everything sticks even if you add non-stick spary, which is not ideal. We got them only 42 days ago and they are looking like we've had them for years. Yes ,they are easy to clean but they worp and look burnt and scracthed. would not recommend this item
Kitchen, meet cookware
I love to cook, always have. Between mom and grandma, I grew up learning all the "tricks" of the trade. You are as likely to find me in the kitchen during the cold winter months baking up a holiday treat or working on a new recipe just as likely as you are to find me working on my cars during the warmer months. It's a "hobby" that people seem to have forgotten about in our modern times -- good, old fashioned home cooking!

Yet, despite my love for the kitchen there was a problem; my hate for the cookware! Oh I've tried it all over the years. Everything from the cheapest of the cheap to some of the more expensive pots and pans. Yet time and time again they let me down. They either didn't hold up to repeated use; started to rust and/or tarnish; heated food unevenly; etc, etc. It was a nightmare. Having working in a restaurant in college I longed for the days when I had restaurant quality pots and pans to use -- but, alas, my budget couldn't afford that!

Great value for a 12 piece cookware set
This modern cookware set is awesome!!! Not only are they gorgeous, but they are sooooo easy to clean. There is nothing worse than when a pot/pan gets all brown and funky and then to not be able to get the stains off of them. That's not the case with these though. They are so beautiful. I get lots of compliments when I cook with them. People always ask me what brand they are and when I tell them, they never believe me. They always think they are calphalon or some similar brand. They are one of my favorite set of pots that I own.

This set comes with alot of items as well. Moreso than any other brand that I have purchased or received to review. I think the quality of this cookware set is one of the best I've seen and the value as well.
Gift
This will be a great gift for a young bride and groom. These pots are great for a couple starting out together. These pots are not for serious cookers.They are light weight can get scratched and that means the anodized will peel off and then they become trash . No one can no longer eat out of them.These do no heat evenly on my electric stove. Handles still get hot and the baking pans are this. If you are giving this as a gift make sure to buy the silicon utensils so they will not stick metal objects in it. Overall great start up set.
I don't cook I burn. These pans hold up!
I'm not the number one reviewer of items, but I must say I believe I may be one of the worst cooks you'll find on Amazon. But as an adult woman, I find I have to feed myself a few times a day, and that entails cooking. I've inadvertently destroyed some beautiful cookware in the past, but I am glad to say this set isn't going to be one of them. I find them to be excellent for heating the food evenly without that little burnt spot in the middle. God forbid you actually burn something a little bit, the pans are very forgiving and are truly non stick. Cleaning these is a breeze and I find that they don't scratch either. The orange color is very appealing and the handles help you avoid burns to yourself! In conclusion, as a horrible chef, I rate these pots excellent!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is my first experience with Rachael Ray cookware. When I removed the cookware from the set, I first noticed how light weight it was. I then noticed the attractive orange handles and the beautiful clear lids. It's not high end cookware, but it would be welcome in many or most homes.

I used the skillet to saute tofu and it browned nicely even at a medium heat level. I didn't use any oil in the pan and just let the tofu do its thing. I have also sauteed vegetables using just a touch of water without added oil and it also worked out beautifully.

I heated some almond milk for chai and forgot about it. That could have resulted in quite a mess with some other types of cookware, but it cleaned up quickly and still looked brand new.

What I liked:

This is a very attractive set, with a lot of attractive features. The orange handles go well with the black anodized surfaces and the black non-stick coatings. The handles are riveted on and appear to be quite well attached, and there is a lifetime warrantee if the handles loosen. There are metallic insert holes in the handles so the pans can be hung up and these metallic areas and metallic rivets and non-coated areas of the handles make a nice contrast with the other parts of the pots and pans. A very nice set but it could be a little heavier for my tastes
I would like to start this review by acknowledging the fact that I do have fairly expensive tastes when it comes to cookware and favor heavy cooper or stainless steel pots and pans, mostly those made in France. However, since my passion for cooking (and kitchenware) is well known to my friends and family I am often called upon to offer suggestions to others seeking their first set of "grown-up" cookware. When I got the chance to try out this Rachael Ray set I was excited and overall, I have been pleased with it.

The Rachael Ray 10 piece set is very attractive with it's stylish lines and colorful handles. It's hard anodized nonstick surface is far more advanced than those that I used when I was younger that had the tendency to scratch, chip, or peel off. Still, I would not recommend using metal utensils with any nonstick cookware. Except for the two skillets each piece came with a well fitting see-through lid and one of them will fit the larger skillet as well. The 8"...
