Excelent Knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been using Global knifes for years... and this is one you should have... nice weight, nice balance, sharp edge, excelent hand feeling, awesome knife.. i love it!!!!!!
Fav Knife
This is my favorite knife to use. I have a Ken Onion Shun that may look more the part of a serious cook, but this is my workhorse. I use it on everything. It's much lighter and easier to handle. The hollow grind makes it much easier to push through foods--so even if it isn't sharper than my Shun, it sure seems like it is. Cleaning up always seems easy. Remember to hand wash and push the sponge or rag away from the blade not towards. It'll cut a chunk out of anything real quick.

Wusthof Grand Prix II 10-Inch Serrated Slicer

Super Slicer, perfect for bread
The Grand Prix II Super Slicer is one of the top knives for bread. Instead of the more common serrated edge, this knife offers a scalloped edge similar to other top rated bread knives (MAC and Tojiro ITK). The scalloped edge is gentler on bread, while still offering enough bite to cut through hard crusts.

This should easily be a 5 star knife. However, Amazon gets docked 1 star for sending a knife that had blunted edges. The knife had to be sharpened before its full potential could be reached.
wonderful slicer
This knife slices bread perfectly, without crushing or crumbling. It is also useful to slice other foodstuffs that regular bread knives are not fit to cut. I recommend it without reservation.

Wusthof Classic 10-Inch Hollow Edge Carving Knife

Great knife for the job
This knife was part of a gift, and I am pleased to say that it exceeded all expectations. There may be other brands with equal utility, but I have not had the pleasure of using them. I am not shy about blasting Wusthof or Henckels for charging obscene prices when another brand offers the same quality for less, but like several specialty knives in the line, this one is a winner. Put your electric whiz bang in the closet, and amaze your guests with this useful (and large) gem.

Wusthof makes excellent knives and this model fully lives up to the famous Wusthof name!!! Cutting through food with this knife makes the phrase "cutting a hot knife through butter" applicable! This truly is an excellent knife and a great addition to the kitchen of anyone interested in food preparation.
Fabulous for carving
I have started replacing my old (25 years) kitchen knives with Wusthof knives. All of them have been a delight, but this one is truly magnificent. I have discovered that with a knife this good I am MUCH better at carving meat and poultry than I thought I was.

My Favorite All-Round Global Knife
Nice Weight. Nice Balance. Nice grip including a solid safe front finger lip. Perfect Length. I have several Global knives and I like most of them. This is the first GF (forged) I have tried. It is definitely a step up.

best. knives. ever!
I have finally completed my set of Wustof Classic knives. To me, they were well worth the cost. Ive never had knives where they cut thru vegies like butter! Just watch the fingers...theyre very sharp!

I added the Carving Knife to my set of Wusthof that I have been using for more than a year. This knife certainly lives up to the quality I have learned to expect from Wusthof. The feel is solid, it carves cleanly and effortlessly and it easily takes an edge when needed.

Wusthof Classic 10-Inch Long Slicer

Good Knife, Not Balanced Well
There are really two main competitors in the high-end mainstream kitchen knife market: Henckels and Wusthof. Those who have used both usually have a preference. My preference (and therefore bias you should know about) is for the Wusthofs.

The Wusthof Classic line is the more conservative counterpart to the Grand Prix line. The only difference, however, is the handle style. I personally prefer the Grand Prix, but this is an issue of personal preference. The balance and grip of these knives are as close to perfect as I have found. For those wondering what benefits a higher priced knife provides, one benefit is that the blade (or tang) is one piece all the way through the handle. This makes the blade much stronger, and less likely to snap.

This particular model, the 10 inch slicer, is too long and thin. The balance is not right, and it is difficult to control. This knife is high quality, but too long.

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Pro S 10-Inch Stainless-Steel Carving Knife

Up to the Henckels Standards
This knife as received was sharp as a razor. It is nicely balanced and quite flexible for cutting roasts, steaks, etc. Finish was perfect as to be expected and should provide years of excellent service. Product arrived on time and in excellent condition with packaging inside and out of the highest quality.
Great knife!
I added this knife to a block set and in retrospect I probably could have gone with the eight inch. It is a great knife, however, and makes carving a dream. I've had many electric carving knives over the years but never experienced such carving ease as with this knife. The whole Zwilling set has been a wonderful investment.
Works Great
Zwilling J.A. Henckels makes a great product. The Twin Pro S series gives you the best bang for your buck. The knife keeps a sharp edge, good balance and is easy carve a roast.
