just great
just love it. the heat stayed at 350 degrees almost the entier time i was cooking, and i cooked a fifteen pounds of fish, fries, huspuppies, cheese sticks, and much more. when i shut it off i was still ablet to fry more fish. the frying was fast. the grease didnt burn. I only wish i had ordered the larger basket. the small ones that came with it are good for frying 2 things at once, but for large amounts of one thing, i think the large basket would have been better. i couldn't of been any happier than i was, than with extreem cooking outlet. They are Great!
Best Fish Fryer Ever!!!
I've used several methods for frying fish for my wife and myself and for large groups of people and this is by far the best cooker I've ever used. Anyone familiar with the "Big Green Egg" smoker and cooker will understand when I say this "IS" the Green Egg of fish fryers. It is possible to reach a desired temperature and hold it there throughout the cooking process. Over the weekend I cooked over 100 Crappie filets and each and every one were cooked to perfection due to the exact temperature control and the large cooking area. The temperature source being above the bottom of the cooker allows the breading that falls off the fish to drop below the heat source. This means the breading does not burn each time you cook in it. I am able to reuse the oil several times by occasionally drainging the oil from the cooker through the drain tube attached to the bottom of the cooker. My only complaint is when draining the unit the cornmeal will clog the drain hole and it is necessary to get...
Great Fish Fryer for a Crowd
My husband loves this fryer! He had been using multiple Fry Daddys to fry fish and shrimp for crowds and had been looking for an alternative. The key to this fryer is the "V" bottom (so breading sinks into the "v" and doesn't dirty up the oil). Also, the indirect heating of the oil above the "v" means that the breading doesn't burn. We have been able to re-use the oil many more times with excellent results.
